Behind this tantalizing food selection stood an amazing chef – Chef Kahn Vongdara.
Chef Kahn’s career started in Baltimore, Md. where he completed culinary school while working at a Greek Italian restaurant. “I started helping out the head chef there whenever he was out and my passion for cooking began to grow.” After a few years Chef Kahn expanded his career by opening up his own Greek Italian restaurant called “Kahn’s Place.” His creativity in the kitchen opened up doors that allowed him to showcase his dishes and he was allotted the opportunity to expand his businesses through-out the north and into Louisiana where he opened up a wholesale business selling fresh seafood.
After a fall in the economy, Chef Kahn decided to sell all his shares and move to Texas to take care of his ill father. It wasn’t until his father passed away a few years later that he decided to take his wife of 30 years and three children to a less fast-paced city. This venture landed him in Jacksonville, FL. where he would begin his first investment by partnering up with the then new-comer restaurant called Arielle’s. The departure from Arielle’s a year later was the forthcoming destination that put him at the forefront of an up and coming restaurant called Benny’s Steak and Seafood. This connection allowed Chef Kahn to not only meet new people but it also provided opportunities to expand by opening up several sister restaurants, including the Crabcake Factory and Christopher’s Seafood. “After a few years with the other businesses, I let them go and decided to just enjoy my time at Benny’s while I invest my spare time into ACN.”
ACN is a multi-level marketing company that provides discounted advantages on our most commonly used technology such as cell phone services, computer services and electric services, to name a few. It provides these services through a network of independent sales agents who themselves recruit new sales agents below them. Within only a year and a half Chef Kahn was able to build a customer-base of 2000 and continues to focus his goal on increasing that number. Chef Kahn was recently honored for being one of the consistent agents steadily reaching higher milestones.
His success with ACN and his partnership with Benny’s Steak and Seafood demonstrates the type of undeniable drive that he has in order to reach a variety of people and make a difference in their lives.
Chef Kahn hopes to pass on his success to his 25 year old son, Christopher Vongdara, who is also a well-established chef in Ponte Vedra, Fl. “I would love to open up a restaurant for him one day so he can really focus on doing what he loves to do.”
Although he’s been preparing many different types of foods for over 30 years, Chef Kahn’s favorite food to cook is fresh lobster and fish in creative ways that keeps people wanting more.
